Welcome to Lopez Island, the first stop on the Washington State Ferry from Anacortes, about 80 miles north of Seattle. The Ferry is the most popular way to get to Lopez with an approximate sailing time of 40 minutes. This is the ultimate in "leave the driving to us" as you relax and enjoy the scenic and comfortable ride past nearby islands.

Another way to get here is by air, with an unforgettable panoramic view of the San Juan Island Archipelago. Daily scheduled air service is available from Seattle-Tacoma Airport (about 50 minutes), also Anacortes and Bellingham. Float plane service from Lake Union near downtown Seattle to Fisherman Bay on Lopez. Private pilots may use the Lopez airport's 2900 foot paved and lighted airstrip.
